Implementation is most commonly thought of as construction; however, it could be an operational change to transit service, signal timing, or a demand management strategy that does not require construction. This phase offers opportunities for cost savings and cost sharing with local partners. Construction brings new or modified asset information that must be communicated with asset managers for WSDOT to deliver its Stewardship responsibilities.
Implementing solutions applies to certain performance measures and metrics in the Mobility Performance Framework, as summarized in the linked table below. Note that not all solutions are focused on mobility. Additional performance measures and metrics will be developed to evaluate how WSDOT projects advance WSDOT’s goals around the environment, preservation, safety, and stewardship.
